Fake Meat.......You Liar

Fake Meat......
I though I would be safe......good luck . Of course the morning star I bought has egg in it damn it!! I really don't want to waste food but I feel incredibly guilty eating it too. It's a lose lose. Looks like I'm gonna have to ease into this whole vegan thing through trial and error. Today a vegan companion talked about Kale which seems to be the trendy new thing which I LoVE!

365 Days To Freedom

Blogging.......an online diary to tell your darkest secrets to and make them available to the whole world as a source of entertainment. It sounds like a good idea in theory right?!?. My friend gives me the are you fucking kidding me right now look. Kris continues to give me the same look as we're driving around culver city looking for the nearest Jamba Juice.
Two days ago in an effort to continue my never ending quest for knowledge I watched movie "Vegucated". I never intended to become a vegan wasn't even considering it at all. Until I watched some images about 3/4 of the way through. These images show what I can only describe as torture to these poor innocent creatures. It upset me so much that in that instant everything changed and I decided being vegan was no longer a choice it was the only option.
So after my apples and greens Jamba Juice  Kris and I headed to one of the last chain Barnes and Nobel left and I grabbed a couple books The Vegan's Daily Companion by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau and one that the check out guy mentioned to me and I bought on the spot Veganomicon The Ultimate Vegan Cookbook by Isa Chandra Moskowitz &Terry Hope Romero.
The Challenge: 365 Days Vegan Living!!
So my hopes for this adventure are as follows:
1.) Get Healthy- For awhile I've been wanting to be more conscious of the things I put in my body and reduce if not eliminate the crap!
2.) Lose Weight-I'm probably the biggest I've ever been in my life right now weighing in at 190lbs at 5' 7".........yeah I knew it was coming I was eating whatever the hell I wanted. Ugh man it hurts to see that $hi* up close and personal though.
3.) Make A Difference -Even as small as it is and I'm only one person, it's one person at a time and if I'm no longer involved then I've helped at least a little bit.
Keeping it short and simple is best so everyday I'm going to blog whatever I try and what's going on. The break down for today is went shopping used the new "Is it vegan?" App on iPhone which was helpful. However, I still managed to screw up and buy crackers that had Milk!!! It's groin to take some time but live and learn. I got a lot of things I'm sure are vegan for quick and fast meals wheat pasta, morning star. On the days I have off ill make real food.
